UM Tech Expands Operations to Moncton Canada

With much honor, UM Technologies would like to introduce their new operations and team members based in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. The continuous willingness to grow and provide quality solutions has allowed UM Tech to expand its efforts and attract a team of talented team members from Canada that specialize in mobile application, web and game development. UM Tech takes much pride in its new location and is excited to work with its new mission-driven team to bring new, problem solving solutions and experiences to the market.

UM Tech’s new team members consists of Chris O’Neill, Chris Poirier, Annie Charlebois, Christian Copeland, Dave Williams, and Josh Paul.

Chris Poirier and Chris O’Neill each have 16 years of professional experience in the programming field, including C, C#, C++, Java, PHP, Unity, SQL and Adobe Creative products. Working with a diversity of systems such as Unix, Linux, Windows, iOS and Android, they have published games for PC that are available on Steam and other platforms. In addition, Poirier and O’Neill worked on popular mobile titles for IP’s such as Strawberry Shortcake, The Smurfs and Hotel Transylvania.

Annie Charlebois recently spent a year in Paris before joining Cupcake Digital, where she specialized in quality assurance and user experience, before graduating to project management duties. In the past, Annie was an X-Ray Technician, but most recently wore many hats with Cupcake Digital performing roles in quality assurance, content production, user experience and project management. Annie managed Agile Kanban boards on Jira, at a key point in NetKids development and played a large role in the execution of getting that project into the market. Today, Annie utilizes her various skills and experiences as Account Manager and Project Manager of Mobile Applications for UM Technologies.

The remaining Moncton team have all worked on various children’s titles for mobile platforms using Flash with Actionscript 3, and later Unity with C#. So titles include Yo Gabba Gabba, Snoopy, Slugterra, Wow Wow Wubbzy, Strawberry Shortcake, Max and Ruby and Rio. Combined, the team has experience in Agile/Scrum, traditional waterfall, and continuous integration supported by the Unity Cloud Build service.
